Nicole’s practice is devoted to the representation of condo associations in Maryland and D.C. Nicole has extensive experience in counseling condo and community associations on covenant issues and the collection of assessments.


Nicole regularly counsels condo communities on amendments to community governing documents, rules for community associations, community transition from developer to homeowner control as well as training for new Board members of community associations.


She also reviews and negotiates management and vendor contracts for clients.  Nicole represents bankruptcy creditors in case of a Chapter 13 or 11 reorganization or in a Chapter 7 liquidation. Much of Nicole's bankruptcy experience has focused on assisting community and homeowners’ associations as creditors of owners or businesses who are facing or have declared bankruptcy.


In 2019, Nicole was appointed as a State Delegate for Maryland’s 22nd District.   In the Maryland House of Delegates, Nicole served on the Judiciary Committee, the Civil Law & Procedure Subcommittee, and Family & Juvenile Law Subcommittee.  She also is a member of the Maryland Legislative Black Caucus, Maryland Legislative Transit Caucus, 2019, and Women Legislators of Maryland.
